1. About HaulSentinel and scope

This Privacy Policy describes how the HaulSentinel browser extension ("Software", "we", "our") handles information when you use the Software.

The Software is offered exclusively to carriers, fleet owners, and authorized drivers operating in the United States. It is not available outside the United States.

2. What we DO NOT collect

We explicitly do not collect, transmit, store, or sell:

• The content of loads you observe on Amazon Relay (origin, destination, pay, pickup time, route details)
• The contents of your filter configuration (cities, states, warehouse codes, price thresholds)
• Any text, message, or data from the Amazon Relay portal
• Your Amazon Relay credentials, session tokens, or cookies
• Your browsing history outside of Amazon Relay
• Keystrokes or mouse movements

These items stay exclusively in your local browser profile (chrome.storage.sync / chrome.storage.local) and never leave your device through HaulSentinel.

3. What we DO collect

3.1 License and device identifiers (required for paid plans)

When you activate a PRO license or start a free trial, we store on our servers:

• A randomly-generated device_id (UUID v4, created locally by your browser) — used to link your browser to your license
• Your Amazon Relay carrier identifiers (carrierId, customerId, marketplace, realm) — read from Amazon Relay's own page state; used to enforce the one-trial-per-carrier rule and prevent abuse via reinstall
• Your license key and the email address associated with your Lemon Squeezy purchase (received from Lemon Squeezy via webhook)
• License status, tier, expiration date, and subscription events

This data is necessary to provide the paid service. Retained while your subscription is active, plus twelve (12) months after cancellation.

3.2 Anonymous usage statistics (silent, industry-standard)

We collect a small number of aggregate events from your device to help us improve the Software and detect outages:

• Session start/stop timestamps
• Count of matches found (no load details)
• Count of auto-book attempts and rate-limit events (no load details, no prices)
• Error codes (no stack traces, no URLs, no PII)
• Extension version and Chrome version

We never receive the specific origin, destination, pay, filter values, or any content of the loads or filters you scan. A server-side PII blocklist is enforced as a safety net.

This collection is industry-standard for browser extensions in this category and matches the practice of comparable products in the Amazon Relay automation space. You may disable telemetry at any time from the extension's Settings page; disabling it clears any locally buffered events immediately.

3.3 Auto-Book consent record (local only)

When you accept the Auto-Book consent modal, we store locally on your device (not on our servers) a record of: consent version, acceptance timestamp, and a hash of the consent text you agreed to. This helps us prove you were informed of the risks, and re-prompts you if the disclosure text materially changes.

We use the following third parties to operate the service:

These providers maintain their own privacy policies. We have contractual confidentiality arrangements with them consistent with industry practice.

We do not use advertising networks, analytics trackers (Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, etc.), or any third-party scripts inside the extension.

5. Data retention

• License records: active subscription duration + 12 months
• Device and carrier records: same as license records
• Trial records: 12 months from trial expiration (used to enforce no-double-trial rule)
• Telemetry events: 90 days (automatically deleted)
• Consent records: locally on your device only; lasts until you uninstall

6. Your rights

You may at any time:

• Disable telemetry from the extension popup — takes effect immediately
• Deactivate your license and uninstall the extension — stops all data flow
• Request deletion of your license and device records by emailing support@haulsentinel.com; we will honor within thirty (30) days. Note that deletion while a subscription is active will also end the subscription.
• Request export of your data by emailing the same address

If you are a California resident (CCPA/CPRA), EU resident (GDPR), or in another jurisdiction with enhanced rights, those rights apply to our processing as described here. We do not sell personal information.

7. Security

• All data in transit uses TLS (HTTPS / WSS)
• License JWTs are signed RS256 and short-lived (24h)
• Private signing key is held in Cloudflare Secrets, never committed to code
• We do not store your license key in chrome.storage.sync (which would replicate across devices); we use chrome.storage.local so it stays on the device that activated

No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your information, we will notify you within seventy-two (72) hours of discovery, via email if provided.

8. Children

HaulSentinel is a commercial tool for freight carriers and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to this policy

Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date and announced in the extension popup. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Amazon non-affiliation

HaulSentinel is not affiliated, associated, authorized, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates, including but not limited to Amazon Relay, Amazon Web Services, Amazon Logistics, or any subsidiary or related entity. The names "Amazon" and "Amazon Relay" are registered trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. and are used here solely to describe the platform that the Software interacts with on the user's behalf, by the user's own authenticated browser session.

The Software does not access Amazon's internal APIs, does not bypass authentication, and does not impersonate Amazon services. It reads and clicks elements within the user's already-authenticated browser session, the same way the user would by hand.

11. Refund and cancellation policy

• Free 7-day trial. All new users are entitled to a 7-day free trial of HaulSentinel PRO. No payment information is required to begin the trial. The trial cannot be reused on the same Amazon Relay carrier account.
• Full refund within 7 days of paid purchase. If you subscribe and request a refund within seven (7) days of your initial paid charge, we will issue a full refund through Lemon Squeezy. Email support@haulsentinel.com with your license email.
• Cancel anytime. You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Lemon Squeezy customer portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; the remaining time on your current period stays active until expiration. We do not pro-rate refunds for partial periods after the initial 7-day window.
• No refunds after 7 days, except where required by applicable law (some jurisdictions provide longer rights).

12. Terms of Use

The following terms apply to all use of the Software. By installing, activating, or using HaulSentinel you accept these terms.

12.1 License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use HaulSentinel for your own carrier operations. You may not resell, sublicense, modify, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the Software. You may not use the Software to provide a competing service.

12.2 No warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION. We do not guarantee that HaulSentinel will detect every matching load, that auto-booked loads will be profitable, or that the Software will continue to function if Amazon Relay materially changes its interface.

12.3 You accept all booking risk

If you enable Auto-Book, you remain solely responsible for every load that is booked under your account. You agree that:

• Booking decisions made by the Software are based on the filter values you entered.
• A bug, race condition, network glitch, or Amazon-side change could cause the Software to book a load you did not intend, miss a load you wanted, or book at an undesired rate.
• You will not hold us liable for any economic loss, business interruption, lost profits, fuel costs, deadhead miles, missed appointments, equipment idling, customer claims, or other consequential damages arising from auto-booked loads.
• You will independently verify each booked load and promptly cancel any booking inconsistent with your business plan, accepting any cancellation policy enforced by Amazon Relay.

12.4 Amazon Relay Terms of Service

Use of automation tools may, depending on Amazon's then-current policies, be restricted by Amazon Relay's Terms of Service. You are solely responsible for understanding and complying with Amazon Relay's terms. Risk of suspension, deactivation, or termination of your Amazon Relay carrier account rests entirely with you. We do not warrant that the Software complies with any specific Amazon policy at any specific time.

12.5 Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Software, including remotely disabling auto-book functionality, if we believe in good faith that:

• The Software is being used to harm other carriers, the broader Amazon Relay ecosystem, or third parties.
• Amazon, a regulator, or a court orders us to do so.
• Your account is associated with chargebacks, fraud, abuse, or attempted resale.

12.6 Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY AND ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SOFTWARE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. IN NO EVENT WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, OR DATA — EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for certain damages; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

12.7 Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to the Software or these terms will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules, in Union County, New Jersey (which includes Elizabeth, NJ), by a single arbitrator. You and we waive any right to participate in a class action or class arbitration.

12.8 Severability

If any provision of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force.
